Dear Members

I do hope you are all enjoying the season so far. I have seen some incredible results across all age groups on the back of some exceptional social events, organised by our social committee.

As our club continues to move forward with a dedicated and hard-working committee and progress in areas such as the upcoming introduction of our new Playing and Training Plan, I feel now is the right time to step back as Chairman.

I have been Chairman since 2018, which included the period during the pandemic. However, with ever increasing work commitments and a new job (with much more travelling!) I can no longer offer the time it takes to fulfil this role to the best of my ability. It is only right this massive responsibility passes onto someone who can offer their full commitment.

At our Committee meeting held on 6 March 2024, Steve Lightley was co-opted onto the Committee and unanimously elected Chairman. Many of you will know him and I, as well as the Committee, do not doubt his commitment to continue to make the club the best it possibly can be. I will remain on the Committee to lead on Safeguarding as well as supporting Steve to ensure the transition is as efficient as possible. I will continue to support our club in any way I can.

So, as the departing Chairman, I wish you all the very best for the rest of the season and look forward to see you all at our club soon.

Best wishes

Dominic
