Saracens ARFC - Weekend 30th-31st October News Update

The 1st XV, Saracens played Wasps RFC on Saturday and following on from the good results they have been getting over last couple of weeks, the opposition had done their homework and we weren’t able to run the game as we have previously. Still a hard-fought encounter but we were not able to get the win this week. Nevertheless, they are still 4th in a table with some good rugby sides competing. The 2nd XV, Crusaders, continued their positive start to the season with a win over Cheshunt RFC at home 34-24. That leaves them 4th in the table as well.
I believe the weather wasn’t too kind on Sunday, nothing to do with me not being able to be there!! ?.
Most of the Minis Age Groups had a home fixture against Hemel Hempstead RFC, which I can imagine was muddy with very welcome hot dogs at the end. The U13s were playing away at Amersham RFC and in very muddy conditions against a very strong side, one team played really good rugby against a strong Amersham side and were not disgraced. The second side played a 3 way there against Amersham and Reading Abbey RFC ‘As’. The U14s played another home fixture against Hitchin RFC this time. A match that benefitted both Clubs with players getting game time and leaving the result fairly even. It was a similar situation with the U15s against Bishops Stortford RFC. 3 1/3s were played with our guys getting the result in one and Stortford turning it around for a second and the third 1/3 was even. Players will learn from these sorts of days and progress. The Colts didn’t have a training session this week, as a lot of our guys were picked for County Trials at London Irish. Well done guys.
